Mr. Shamaz Savani has a B.A. in Economics and a B.Com in Finance, both from McMaster University, Canada and an MBA from the University of Surrey in UK. He joined ABC Bank in 1997 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2006. He has spearheaded and acted as chief sponsor of the Centralized Banking System implementation with ABC Bank being among the first banks to adopt the one-bank-one-branch concept. Under his leadership, ABC Bank was awarded the ISO Certification in 2008. He also steered the structuring of the Strategic Business Units, a move that has seen the bank improve business efficiency and solidify its market position. He also engineered the expansion in to the East African region by entering the Ugandan market through its subsidiary, ABC Capital Bank-Uganda Ltd, as well as growth in branch network in Kenya. Mr. Shamaz has nearly 31 years of banking experience. He was appointed Group Managing Director of ABC Group in 2010. He is responsible for strategy formulation, policy-making including expansion, innovation and growth for ABC Group which comprises ABC Bank, ABC Capital Limited, ABC Insurance Brokers Limited and ABC Capital Bank Limited (Uganda). The Bank has also received several awards and recognitions in different categories under his leadership. He has also served the Habitat for Humanity Kenya Board as a Board Member since 2014. He is currently serving in the National Steering Committee on Drought established by H.E. President Ruto.
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Sridhar Natarajan joined ABC Bank Group in 2014 to carry on the execution of the Bank’s Strategic Plan, and to lead the bank to the next level in terms of products, profits, profile, processes and people efficiency. Mr. Sridhar Natarajan has over 42 years of banking experience gained working with leading banks in India, Hong Kong and Indonesia. For over 30 years he has worked for the State Bank of India both in Hong Kong and India, in various capacities including Vice President (Credit & Operations) & Vice President (Operations)/ Alternative CEO, among other key positions which have equipped him with extensive experience. He was also the President Director (CEO) of Bank ICB Bumiputera, a retail bank in Indonesia, and has worked as an independent strategy consultant. Mr Natarajan holds a BSC and a MSC, Chemistry from the University of Delhi, India and a Certificate in Strategy & Leadership.

Mr. Joram Onsare is the general manager of ABC Capital Limited. He is a seasoned financial services executive and strategic leader with over 15 years experience in banking, investments, and insurance across East Africa. He currently serves as a Board Member of the ABC Capital Limited, bringing over a decade of expertise in business transformation, investment management, and operational strategy. He has played a key role in driving the Group’s growth and consolidation across its subsidiaries — ABC Bank Kenya, ABC Capital, ABC Insurance Brokers, and ABC Capital Bank Uganda — guiding strategic initiatives that have strengthened profitability, operational efficiency, and digital innovation. Mr Onsare is known for his results-driven approach and strong governance acumen that has successfully led complex restructures, fundraising programs, and market expansion projects, including spearheading the Group’s transformative investment ventures in manufacturing and financial services. He holds a Global Executive MBA from the United States International University–Africa and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Economics from the University of Nairobi, Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) alongside professional certifications in financial analysis, financial modelling, and investments. As a Board Member, Joram continues to champion sustainable growth, sound governance, and value creation at ABC Capital and across the Group’s diverse financial ecosystem.

Dr. Steve O. Mainda, holds a Doctorate (Honoris Causa) from the University of Eastern Africa. He also holds a Master’s Degree from Princeton University and a Diploma in Management from Cambridge University as well as a Diploma in Education from University of East Africa- Makerere College. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors of London. Dr. Mainda has a wealth of experience in Finance, Insurance, Strategic Management and Education. He is currently the Chairman of the following companies in Africa: Continental Reinsurance Company, headquartered in Nairobi; Asante Grain and Mining Company; Blue Nile Steel Group; Mediheal Group of Hospitals. He also sits on the Board of the following companies in Africa: Sasini Plc, Ryce East Africa,Tausi Assurance Company Limited, Dubai Islamic Bank Kenya, Mahathi Infra Uganda Limited, Tilisi Development Company and Monarch Insurance Company Limited. As a Chairman and Director of various companies, he brings to the board, international business experience, management and executive leadership experience in operation, talent management and governance. In addition, his over 25 years in Management and Finance provides him with experience for the companies he serves. Dr. Mainda served for many years as Chairman of Insurance Regulatory Authority of Kenya (IRA), 1992-2013. He was also a long serving Chairman of the largest housing bank in Eastern Africa (Housing Financing Group of Companies). In recognition of his distinguished service to Kenya and East Africa, he was awarded Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (EBS) by President H.E. Mwai Kibaki.
Mr. Kevin Kamemba has over 14 years’ experience investing in the SSA private equity space across multiple sectors. He has spent the last 5 years in the financial inclusion space also sitting on the boards of various financial institutions. Kevin was a Principal Investment Officer and Head Africa at Women’s World Banking Asset Management, where he was responsible for structuring and managing private equity investments in financial service providers in Africa with the goal to improve women’s financial inclusion and gender diversity in the financial service industry. Prior to joining Women’s World Banking, he was the Regional Director Africa at Incofin IM, a USD 1.3 billion impact asset manager), and prior to that was the Investment Director at Ascent Capital a sector agnostic Private Equity Fund Manager focused on East Africa. Kevin also worked with Centum Investment a listed Private Equity Company that made several private equity and real estate investments across SSA. Kevin holds a B.A. Economics degree from University of Nairobi. He is a CFA and CAIA Charter holder and also completed his CPA.
